1. Your footage stays local

Our desktop apps — including SyncLab — process your media entirely on your own machine. We do not upload, copy, stream, or store your video, audio, project files, file names, or folder paths on any server. There is no cloud component to the analysis. No account is required to use the software.

2. What we do collect

We aim to collect the minimum needed to keep the software working and improving:

• Anonymous, aggregate usage counts — for example, the total number of clips processed across all beta users, or whether an analysis completed successfully. These contain no footage, no file names, and nothing that identifies you or your projects.
• Crash and error diagnostics — technical information (such as app version and operating system) that helps us fix bugs. You can opt out in the app's settings.
• Licensing / beta access — if you enter an email or licence key, we store it to manage access and send important product notices.
• Website analytics — basic, privacy-respecting metrics about visits to ctlab.app (such as page views and referrers). No cross-site tracking.

3. What we never do

• We never sell your data.
• We never access, view, or transmit your media.
• We don't use invasive third-party advertising trackers.

4. Email & communications

If you contact us or sign up for the beta, we use your email only to reply, provide support, and send essential product updates. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.

5. Third-party services

We use a small number of reputable providers to run the business — for example, for hosting this website, sending email, and (once paid plans launch) processing payments. These providers only receive the data necessary to perform their function and are bound by their own privacy terms.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email privacy@ctlab.app and we'll action it promptly.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We'll change the "last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify beta users by email.
